Product Description

Duck Shit is an iconic oolong from the Phoenix Mountains in Guangdong that earned its name from a witty lie. When farmers first discovered the unusually fragrant oolong, they became so protective that they spread a rumor that their tea was grown in duck droppings. The name meant to repel thieves instead attracted curious tea lovers.

After careful plucking, the leaves undergo extended sun-withering to activate aromatic compounds, followed by controlled oxidation to build structure. A measured charcoal roast stabilizes the leaf and sharpens its outline, ensuring the fragrance remains vivid but not diffuse.

In the cup, the liquor is a light golden-amber. The aroma is soft and inviting: gardenia, jasmine, ripe peach, with a hint of sweet cream. On the palate, it's velvety and smooth, carrying notes of vanilla, stone fruit, and a subtle vegetal sweetness. The finish is long and mineral, leaving a clean, creamy aftertaste that lingers gently. This is the tea for late afternoons with a book you're not rushing through, or a journal with blank pages waiting. The kind of tea that coats your mouth with something soft and creamy, lets your thoughts drift without pulling you away.
