Violet Black Beauty

Violet Black Beauty is an innovative black tea that takes rare purple tea leaves found only on certain tea trees in Yunnan, and transforms them through oxidation. The result is a black tea that subverts expectations — lighter and brighter than the malty warmth of typical Yunnan blacks. 

The deep violet leaves’ anthocyanins naturally suppress bitterness. When oxidized fully, the tea’s fresh edge transforms into a more complex fruity sweetness, while preserving its inner clarity. 

In the cup, the liquor is a rich amber with hints of orange-red. The aroma is rich and complex, with notes of ripe stone fruit, dried apricot, and a touch of honey. On the palate, it's smooth and juicy — honeyed warmth upfront, followed by gentle fruit depth and a clean, composed finish that does not linger excessively.
